Robinsons has once again launched its Beauty Fair, which will till the end of the month offer exclusive deals on the best of its skincare and cosmetic brands. Need inspiration? We asked the beauty experts.
There are beauty regimens and there are beauty chores.
In our busy and hectic lifestyles where work and children take up most of the time, it’s almost a chore trying to maintain your old beauty regimen – even the “wash, tone, moisture and repeat” routine can be a pain for the busy woman out there. And those days of dutifully keeping to a process every morning, day and night becomes hard to stick to.
To get you inspired to revisit your skincare duties, Robinsons has once again launched its Beauty Fair, which will till the end of the month offer exclusive deals and first-look launches on not just its skincare range, but also on its cosmetic products.
There’ll also be skincare and cosmetic deals and offers from brands such as Sulwhasoo, Clinique, Estēe Lauder, to name but a few.
To find what works for different people, we asked the skincare experts at Robinsons’ beauty department to tell us a little about their skincare regimen, dos and don’ts, and tips and tricks they’ve picked up on their job.
“At night, use the massage disc from Rénergie French Lift to boost circulation, exfoliate dead skin cells and improve absorption of the cream for a lifting and tightening effect.”
– Jacinta Mak, Lancôme makeup expert
“The skin caviar collection is my all-time favourite, especially the eye essence. A little goes a long way and it’s rich in amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Try it for an instant mini lift for your eyes.”
– Shan Chen, La Praire business manager
“Do not sleep with your makeup on. Always remove your makeup before you go to bed as the makeup will clog your pores which will lead to bacteria build up”.
– Valerie Heng, Laneige beauty advisor
“My favourite makeup trend for this season is the artsy feel as seen in Make Up Store’s Autumn 2014 collections. I like that Make Up Store’s upcoming makeup trends revolve around functionality, with products offering duo colours in one which makes it so convenient and versatile for me for my daily use.”
– Kho Pei Lee, Make Up Store makeup artist
“My favourite trend this season is what we call the ‘unprocessed’ trend at M·A·C. It emphasises the natural state of one’s features and skin so that it looks fresh, dewy and well-groomed. Makeup is minimal, almost invisible. I believe this trend will resonate well with our customers because the busy Singaporean woman prefers a fuss-free, easy to achieve application”.
– Marsha Kong, M.A.C Singapore events artists team
“Discipline is the key. Using a purifying-toning-serum-moisturiser every day and night is essential for your skin. Each step has its effect and purpose, of course. Tsuya skin gives that extra push and boost to maximize your skincare’s efficancy, especially under makeup for the ultimate glowing skin solution”.
– Jessica Ng, Shu Uemura accredited makeup artist
“For healthy and luminous skin that glows from within, I use Dr. Andrew Weil Mega-Bright Skin illuminating UV protector as a makeup base to illuminate the skin and to ensure long lasting makeup. Not only does the UV protector help to prevent skin discoloration, it also protects the skin against the damage of UVA and UVB rays.”
– Jess Lee, Origins senior counter manager
