• Solution of Diacetyl-Boldine in Caprylic/Capric triglyceride, that inhibits the activity of tyrosinase, enzyme responsible for melanin synthesis. Diacetyl-Boldine stabilizes the tyrosinase in its inactive form via the ?-adrenergic antagonist receptors and calcium flow regulation. The mechanism is thus a prevention of the activation of tyrosinase rather than an inhibition of the activated enzyme.
• It has been demonstrated in vitro that Diacetyl-Boldine is 30 times more active than Kojic Acid on melanin production. Furthermore, it significantly decreases the epidermic pigmentation.
• Diacetyl-Boldine has also been tested on Asian volunteers, both on skin and age spots.
